Peace ProcessIn 1974, Rabin was interviewed to the program: 700 Club, and he said the major problem was that Israel was always stopped from making a peace treaty, no matter how many military victories. Dr. Pat Robertson - The 4th Herzliya Conference 17 December 2003

No Negotiations

"...the head of the organization that took credit for the attack, Ahmad Sa'adat, is one of the terrorists freed by Omri Sharon in the Mukata deal.  'Those who sow surrender reap blood and terror', said MK Michael Kleiner, adding that 'every military operation that ends with the IDF deployed along the Oslo lines is ultimately an ineffective operation.'" : imra@netvision.net.il 19 May 2002

Just as President Bush's government announced in relation to the Taliban, no treaty or negotiations will do. This is also the lesson from the Bible, which tells us that when the weak, immoral king of Israel, Ahab, made a treaty with the cruel Syrian king Ben Hadad, the Lord informed him:
Then the prophet told him, "The Lord says, 'Because you have spared the man I said must die, now you must die in his place, and your people shall perish instead of his.'" 1 Kings 20:42  TLB

Psalm 81:9 You shall have no foreign god among you...!!
Exodus 23:31 "...I will hand hand over to you the people who live in the land and you will drive them out before you. 32 Do not make a covenant with them or with their gods."
Ps 10:16 The Lord is King forever and forever. Those who follow other gods shall be swept from his land. TLB

Ex 34:11 Your part of the agreement is to obey all of my commandments; then I will drive out from before you the Amorites, Canaanites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites. TLB

Exodus 34:12 Be careful not to make a treaty with those who live in the land where you are going, or they will be a snare among you.
Exodus 34:15 "Be careful not to make a treaty with those who live in the land; for when they prostitute themselves to their gods and sacrifice to them, they will invite you and you will eat their sacrifices.
Leviticus. 25:23 The land must not be sold permanently, because the land is Mine and you are but aliens and My tenants

Deut 7:1 "When the Lord brings you into the Promised Land, as he soon will, he will destroy the following seven nations, all greater and mightier than you are: the Hittites, the Girgashites, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, the Jebusites. 2 "When the Lord your God delivers them over to you to be destroyed, do a complete job of it-don't make any treaties or show them mercy; utterly wipe them out. 3 Do not intermarry with them, nor let your sons and daughters marry their sons and daughters. TLB

Deuteronomy 7:2 And when the LORD your God has delivered them over to you and you have defeated them, then you must destroy them totally. Make no treaty with them, and show them no mercy. NIV

Deut 23:3 "An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter the congregation of the LORD; even to the tenth generation none of his descendants shall enter the congregation of the LORD forever, 4 because they did not meet you with bread and water on the road when you came out of Egypt, and because they hired against you Balaam the son of Beor from Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse you. 5 Nevertheless the LORD your God would not listen to Balaam, but the LORD your God turned the curse into a blessing for you, because the LORD your God loves you. 6 You shall not seek their peace nor their prosperity all your days forever. NKJV

Deuteronomy 33: 28 So Israel will live in safety ALONE (without Islamic fanatics); Jacob's spring is secure in a land    of grain and new wine, where the heavens drop dew.  29 Blessed  are you, O Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the LORD? He is your    shield and helper and your glorious sword. Your enemies will cower before    you, and you will trample down their high places (Islamic minarettes). NIV

Judges 2:1 ...I said that I would never break my covenant with you, 2 if you, on your part, would make no peace treaties with the people living in this land; I told you to destroy their heathen altars [mosques, (phallic) minarets]. Why have you not obeyed? TLB

Ezra 9:12 Therefore, do not give your daughters in marriage to their sons or take their daughters for your sons. [the people they found in the land - as in Deut 7:1 above] Do not seek a treaty of friendship with them at any time, that you may be strong and eat the good things of the land and leave it to your children as an everlasting inheritance.' NIV

Isaiah 30:1 "Woe to the obstinate children," declares the LORD, "to those who carry out plans that are not mine, forming an alliance, but not by my Spirit, heaping sin upon sin; [with Egypt] NIV

"He [your enemy] shall besiege you in all your gates, until the fall of the tall and fortified walls in which you trust throughout your land..." -- from this week's weekly Torah portion, Deut. 28, 52 (Doesn't apply to Sharon's wall since it refers to an enemy from a distant land)
Our leaders want so much to believe the unbelievable that they choose to ignore unpleasant reality. Gary M. Cooperberg <gary@projectshofar.com> (Like Joshua with the Gibeonites: Joshua 9:14 Joshua and the other leaders finally believed them. They did not bother to ask the Lord, but went ahead and signed a peace treaty - Living Bible). (NIV:Joshua 9:14 The men of Israel sampled their provisions but did not inquire of the LORD. 15 Then Joshua made a treaty of peace with them to let them live, and the leaders of the assembly ratified it by oath)
Isa 65:11 "But you who forsake the LORD, Who forget My holy mountain, Who set a table for Fortune,
And who fill cups with mixed wine for Destiny, 12 I will destine you for the sword, And all of you will bow down to the slaughter. NASU
The nations of the world are trying to solve the problem by forcing negotiated peace agreements on Israel, which the Bible refers to as false peace. Jeremiah 6:14 They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious. 'Peace, peace,' they say, when there is no peace. 15 Are they (Whitewashers) ashamed of their loathsome conduct? No, they have no shame at all; they do not even know how to blush. So they will fall among the fallen; they will be brought down when I punish them," says the LORD. NIV
Jer. 8:15 "We hoped for peace but no good has come for a time of healing, but there was only terror" NIV
Ezek 13:10 For these evil men deceive my people by saying, 'God will send peace,' when that is not my plan at all! My people build a flimsy wall, and these prophets praise them for it-and cover it with whitewash! 11 "Tell these evil builders that their wall will fall. A heavy rainstorm will undermine it; great hailstones and mighty winds will knock it down. 12 And when the wall falls, the people will cry out, 'Why didn't you tell us that it wasn't good enough? Why did you whitewash it and cover up its faults?' 13 Yes, it will surely fall." The Lord God says: "I will sweep it away with a storm of indignation, with a great flood of anger, and with hailstones of wrath.
14 I will break down your whitewashed wall; it will fall on you and crush you, and you shall know I am the Lord. 15 Then at last my wrath against the wall will be completed; and concerning those who praised it, I will say: The wall and its builders both are gone. 16 For they were lying prophets, claiming Jerusalem will have peace when there is no peace," says the Lord God. Zionsake Editor wrote about the universal peace sign.: I don't want to be associated with it! We talked about it before. It's the sign of people who shout "peace, peace" based on unsustainable premises, like Ehud Barak's "faith statement," "I desire to believe." Based on what: Arafat's goodwill, the intervention of the State Department, logic, goodwill, etc.??  Actually, that peace sign is more dangerous than, for instance, Islam and  Nazism,  on the long run, since it is also the sign of the false messiah (anti-Christ) who will pretend to be the One we're waiting for. Meanwhile he is the abomination Daniel warned against.
More of the same:  Supreme Court Justice Edmond Levy, one of the three judges who rejected a petition on Thursday against the release of the 400 terrorists"This is not the first time that Israel signed agreements to release terrorists who spread death and destruction amongst us.  After every such release, the hope beat in the hearts of many of us that this time would mark the turning point, and that the released terrorists would not resume their terrorist ways, but would rather be ambassadors to spread the idea of peace and co-existence.  Needless to say, this was a vain hope, or more accurately, a vain delusionArutz Sheva News Service  <http://www.IsraelNationalNews.com> Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004
Power the only base for peaceJudg 3:30 That day Moab was made subject to Israel, and the land had peace for eighty years. NIV
2 Sam 10:19 When all the kings who were vassals of Hadadezer saw that they had been defeated by Israel, they made peace with the Israelites and became subject to them. NIV

Jer 50:33 "The Lord says: The people of Israel and Judah have been wronged. Their captors hold them and refuse to let them go. 34 But their Redeemer is strong. His name is the Lord Almighty. He will plead for them and see that they are freed to live again in quietness in Israel. TLB
